NORDIC KNOTS
Nordic Knots was founded in 2016 by Swedish couple Liza Laserow and Fabian Berglund, along with Fabian's brother, Felix. Time spent living abroad led them to reminisce about the landscapes, architecture, and interiors of their home. A family enterprise, Nordic Knots brings the understated, well-made rugs they had always lived with in Sweden to a new audience. The company has offices in Stockholm and New York, and recently opened their first flagship store in Stockholm designed by Studio Giancarlo Valle. The other important center is in Bhadohi in the north of India, where each rug is handmade by highly skilled and experienced Goodweave™ Certified weavers. The materials used in the rugs are also of the highest quality; wool comes from Europe or New Zealand; natural dyes are used for coloring, and undyed wool, beautiful for its naturally varied appearance, makes up part of the collection. Nordic Knots is very much a family business, and between them, the three founders bring a strong background in design and entrepreneurship. Together, their aim is to disrupt a very traditional industry by not just making great rugs, but also by laying the foundation to the world's most interesting homes.
